Cathedral City Repaints Rainbow Crosswalk Ahead of 10th Annual LGBT+ Days Festival

Volunteers repainted Cathedral City's rainbow crosswalk in front of City Hall on Saturday, getting the downtown area ready for the 10th annual LGBT+ Days festival kicking off Friday.
The festival runs March 6-8 and includes a pro-equality rally, drone show, parade with bed races, and performances headlined by David Archuleta.
"Painting our crosswalk is a visible demonstration of inclusivity in Cathedral City," said Council Member Christina Gordon. "When other cities and states are painting over their rainbow crosswalks, we can proudly paint ours and declare our pride and our inclusivity for everybody in Cathedral City all year long."
The weekend opens Friday evening with a flag raising at City Hall at 4:30 p.m., followed by a drone show at 8:30 p.m. Saturday's festivities include the inaugural 2026 CommUNITY Strong Walk starting at The Roost Lounge at 9 a.m., with a festival at the Community Amphitheater running from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday wraps up with the annual bed race and parade.
The festival marks California's first Pride celebration of the year. Full event details and tickets are available at cathedralcitylgbtdays.com.
