Construction Begins on $75 Million Upgrade at DeMuth Park in Palm Springs
Construction is now underway on a more than $75 million upgrade at DeMuth Park in Palm Springs, with city officials saying the improvements will enhance access, safety and amenities for families and pet owners.
The project includes building new permanent large and small dog parks, adding ADA-accessible parking spaces, and converting a two-acre dirt lot into a 165-stall paved parking lot with drainage upgrades.
Crews will also repave existing parking lots, restore sidewalks and pathways, and construct a new restroom facility as part of the comprehensive overhaul.
City leaders say the improvements are designed to modernize the park while creating a safer and more accessible space for the community.
The project is expected to be completed in October.
During construction, both on-site dog parks at DeMuth Park will be closed. Residents are encouraged to use the David Ready Palm Springs Dog Park as an alternative until the upgrades are finished.
