Early Giving Opens the Door for Big Impact Ahead of CV Giving Day 2026
Community members across the Coachella Valley are getting a jump start on generosity as early giving officially begins for CV Giving Day 2026. The annual fundraising campaign encourages residents to support local nonprofits that provide vital services throughout the region, from education and health care to food security and youth programs.
Presented by California Bank and Trust and the Desert Community Foundation, the effort brings together donors, businesses, and charitable organizations for a coordinated day of giving. While the main 24-hour fundraising event takes place Tuesday, early contributions made now still count toward each nonprofit’s final total. Organizers say this early support helps groups build momentum and better position themselves for incentive prizes and matching challenges.
Local partners have also contributed bonus funds to boost participation, including $50,000 dedicated to prize opportunities that reward strong community engagement. Nonprofits rely on those additional dollars to expand programs and reach more people in need.
With early giving closing soon, residents are encouraged to make their donations before the official giving day begins. Supporters can explore participating organizations and contribute online, helping strengthen the nonprofits that serve the Coachella Valley year-round.
