New ‘Scary Movie’ Trailer Released as ‘Fringe’ Streams Free and Tessa Thompson Eyes New Netflix Series
A new horror parody is on the way just as the latest Scream film dominates the box office.
The newest trailer for Scary Movie has been released, promising plenty of outrageous humor and sharp parodies of modern horror films. The Wayans and their collaborators return to poke fun at familiar horror tropes and pop culture moments when the film arrives in theaters June 12.
Meanwhile, fans of science fiction can revisit a cult classic. All 100 episodes of the series Fringe are now available to stream for free on Pluto TV. Viewers can watch episodes on demand or tune in to Pluto’s SyFy channel, which will also feature the show. The series follows investigators tackling mysterious phenomena such as mind control, teleportation, genetic mutation, and reanimation.
And actress Tessa Thompson may soon be returning to Netflix. According to Deadline, the streaming service has acquired the rights to the darkly comedic thriller series Next Door. Thompson is expected to both star in and produce the project, similar to her recent work on the Netflix series His and Hers.
