Stocks Slide on Wall Street as Dow Drops More Than 400 Points

Stocks moved lower Tuesday on the New York Stock Exchange as investors reacted to continued global tensions and economic uncertainty.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 403 points to close at 48,501.27, a decline of 0.83 percent.
The S&P 500 also finished the day in the red, falling 64 points to close at 6,816.63, a loss of 0.94 percent.
Technology-heavy Nasdaq posted the largest percentage decline among the three major indexes, sliding 232 points to close at 22,516.69. That represents a drop of just over one percent.
Analysts say ongoing geopolitical developments and inflation concerns continue to influence trading activity and investor sentiment across global markets.
