Traffic Advisory Issued for Agua Caliente Gas Station Construction Along East Palm Canyon Drive

Drivers traveling through Cathedral City should plan for delays as construction work tied to Agua Caliente’s newest gas station impacts traffic along East Palm Canyon Drive.

City officials have issued a traffic advisory for the area between Date Palm Drive and Van Fleet Drive while crews install the new facility.

Traffic in the area is currently reduced to one westbound lane, which may cause slower travel during peak hours.

Officials say the roadway is expected to be fully widened and reopened by April 3.

Looking ahead, additional construction work will begin on Monte Hall Drive following the 10th annual Cathedral City LGBT Plus Days event scheduled for early March.

During that phase of the project, northbound traffic on Monte Hall Drive will be closed, while southbound lanes will remain open to drivers.

City officials are encouraging motorists to use caution in the construction zone and allow extra travel time while work continues.
