CV Giving Day Raises Over $1 Million for Valley Nonprofits

Coachella Valley donors raised just over $1 million during Tuesday's CV Giving Day, an annual 24-hour fundraising event for local nonprofits.

The final total came to $1,008,700 from 1,797 donations made by 1,395 individual donors. The money will support 149 organizations across the valley working on everything from youth programs and food security to housing, education, and the arts.

CV Giving Day is presented by California Bank & Trust and the Desert Community Foundation, who provide the foundational investment and management that makes the event possible. That partnership ensures that other sponsor dollars flow directly to participating nonprofits.

The event launched in 2023 and has now raised more than $3 million for local causes over its three-year run.

Nonprofits will receive the funds within one to two months.
