An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Thursday, March 5, 2026!

Because of occasional strong, gusty Santa Ana winds, a Wind Advisory has been issued for the Coachella Valley and surrounding areas through sunset tonight. Also -- because of windblown dust -- an Air Quality Alert has also been posted through tonight.

As far as high temperatures as concerned, the Valley will peak in the upper-70s today under lots of sunshine. More of the same for both Saturday and Sunday.

Keep in mind, there is a good chance those Santa Ana winds will become an issue again this weekend.

You can expect lots of sunshine Sunday through Wednesday with highs in the 80s, followed by 90s Thursday into Saturday of next week.
