CSUSB Palm Desert Campus Hosts Career Showcase Connecting Students with Local Employers

The California State University San Bernardino Palm Desert Campus hosted a career showcase today aimed at connecting students with local employers across the Coachella Valley.

The event ran from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the campus’ Health Sciences Building on Cook Street. Students had the opportunity to meet recruiters, explore internship options, and learn about career pathways available in the region.

Organizers brought together nearly 20 organizations representing a range of industries including healthcare, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and local school districts.

University staff say the showcase is designed to create a more intimate networking environment where students can confidently interact with employers. Leading up to the event, students participated in a career preparation day where they practiced resume building and refined their professional pitches with support from the organization Think Together.

Campus leaders say the event has grown into a signature opportunity for students, helping strengthen partnerships between the university and local industries while supporting workforce development in the region.
