Indio Hosts First-Ever Pickleball Open This Saturday
The City of Indio is bringing pickleball to Miles Avenue Park this Saturday for its first-ever Indio Pickleball Open, a charity tournament with all proceeds going to the Indio Senior Center.
The tournament runs in two sessions — 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. — and is open to players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced competitors. The format is mixed doubles round-robin, with playoff matches in the afternoon and an awards ceremony to close out the day.
Registration costs $35 per player, though spectators and pickleball fans can show up for free. Players can register here.
