La Quinta Crews to Close Lanes on Miles Avenue Friday Morning

Drivers heading westbound on Miles Avenue near Jefferson Street should plan for minor delays Friday morning as crews move in to install palm trees and boulders in the parkway landscape.

Work is set to begin around 9:30 a.m. The westbound curb lane on Miles Avenue will be closed during the installation, and drivers turning west from Jefferson Street onto Miles will also lose access to the outside turn lane. Traffic control will be on site throughout the work.

City officials are asking drivers to plan ahead. No end time has been announced, though the closure is expected to last only as long as it takes crews to complete the landscaping.
