Ford Recalling More Than 600,000 SUVs Over Windshield Wiper Failure

Ford is recalling more than 600,000 SUVs because the windshield wiper motors can fail without warning, suddenly cutting visibility and raising the risk of a crash.

The recall covers Ford Explorer and Escape models, along with the Lincoln Aviator and Corsair, all from model years 2020 through 2022. Ford says it hasn't received reports of any accidents or injuries, but has logged more than 1,300 warranty claims tied to the problem.

Owners don't need to pay anything — dealers will inspect the vehicle and replace the wiper motor for free. If you own one of the affected models, contact your local Ford or Lincoln dealership to schedule the repair.
