Palm Springs Film Festival Sets 2027 Dates

The Palm Springs International Film Festival announced this morning that its 38th annual festival will run Thursday, January 7, through Monday, January 18, 2027.

The Film Awards will kick things off on January 7 at the Palm Springs Convention Center, with Opening Night screenings beginning the following evening. The festival runs through Closing Night on January 17, wrapping up with Best of Fest programming on January 18.

For those who've never been, PSIFF is one of the largest film festivals in North America — and one of the most star-studded events the valley sees all year. This past January's 37th annual festival screened more than 170 films from over 70 countries and brought out names like Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Kate Hudson. Nearly all of this year's Film Awards honorees went on to receive Oscar nominations.

Before next January arrives, the Palm Springs International ShortFest is scheduled for June 23–29, 2026.
