Palm Springs Police Real-Time Intelligence Hub Responds to Over 400 Incidents
The Palm Springs Police Department says its new real-time intelligence hub is already delivering significant results just months after launching.
Since opening in early December, the state-of-the-art center has assisted officers in responding to more than 400 incidents across Palm Springs.
Police officials say the hub uses advanced technology, including rapid drone deployment, to give officers real-time information during emergencies. According to the department, drones have been first on the scene about 85 percent of the time.
Authorities report the program has helped facilitate more than 20 arrests and contributed to a 221% increase in operational activity.
The hub has supported investigations and responses involving stolen vehicles, missing persons cases, weapon recoveries, and other emergency situations.
Police leaders say the technology is helping officers respond more quickly and safely while improving situational awareness during active incidents.
