Pride Flag Raised as Cathedral City LGBT+ Days Celebration Begins

Festivities are underway in Cathedral City as the annual Cathedral City LGBT+ Days celebration begins with a colorful Pride flag-raising ceremony.

Community members gathered as Mayor Raymond Gregory raised the Pride flag, marking the official start of the weekend-long event. The ceremony brought cheers from the crowd as residents and visitors celebrated the LGBTQ+ community and the spirit of unity in the Coachella Valley.

The celebration continues with entertainment, community events, and activities throughout the city.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, clear skies and warm temperatures in the low 80s made for ideal conditions. Forecast says temperatures could climb to around 90 degrees on Sunday before cooling back into the low 80s early next week.

Organizers say the annual event continues to grow, bringing the community together to celebrate pride, inclusion, and diversity.
