An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Monday, March 9, 2026!

The Coachella Valley will enjoy near-normal high temperatures today with a good chance of triple-digits this weekend.

A closed-low -- centered over Northwest Mexico -- will provide a few clouds over Riverside County today while any rain with this counterclockwise spinning system will fall over San Diego and Imperial counties. The Coachella Valley will experience typical mid-March high temps in the upper-70s.

Then -- as an upper-level high slowly expands over Southern California -- those midday highs will begin to move-on up.

The Valley is forecast to warm into the lower-80s on Tuesday, upper-80s Wednesday, middle-to-upper 90s by Thursday, and around 100° for your Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Yikes: The Valley could heat-up to around 105° by the middle of next week. That's about 25-degrees above normal!
