Cathedral City's LGBT+ Days Celebration Wraps 10th Year With Record Crowds

Cathedral City's annual LGBT+ Days Celebration wrapped up Sunday after a record-breaking weekend, drawing more than 10,000 people to downtown over three days.

Now in its tenth year, the celebration kicked off Friday with an Equality Rally and pride flag raising at City Hall, followed by a pride-themed drone show in the evening. Saturday brought live performances at the Community Amphitheater, headlined by singer David Archuleta. Sunday closed things out with a Grand Market, parade, Drag Extravaganza, and the fan-favorite bed races.

Mayor Raymond Gregory said every event hit new attendance highs. "All of our events this weekend set attendance records, including today's bed races," Gregory said on Sunday. "We're so proud our fire department won, but really what the bed races represent is a fun time for everyone in the community to come out, celebrate the LGBT+ community, allies, but really everyone in our city."

Throughout the weekend, organizers held rallies, parades, and concerts all in the heart of downtown Cathedral City.
