Stars Advance as Second Week of BNP Paribas Open Heats Up in Indian Wells

The second week of the BNP Paribas Open is underway at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, with some of the sport’s biggest names competing on the stadium courts.

Five-time champion Novak Djokovic battled past American Aleksandar Kovacevic in three sets to reach the fourth round of the tournament for the first time since 2017. With the victory, the 38-year-old becomes the second-oldest man to reach the round of 16 at an ATP Masters 1000 event.

Djokovic credited Kovacevic for a strong performance after the match, saying it was a tough battle but that finding a way to win was what mattered most.

Viewers can watch live coverage and highlights from the tournament through the Tennis Channel, with additional highlights airing during NBC Palm Springs’ 5 p.m. newscast.
