Palm Springs Police Cracking Down on Motorcycles and ATVs on CVLink

The Palm Springs Police Department is reminding the public about CVLink etiquette, citing motorcycle and ATV riders who use the trail illegally, and reminding the public that gas-powered vehicles are not allowed on the path.

CVLink is open to pedestrians, cyclists, and low-speed electric vehicles only, with a 20 mph speed limit. Motorcycles, ATVs, and any other fossil fuel-powered vehicles are prohibited on both CVLink and other Riverside County trails.

Police say officers are actively patrolling the route by vehicle and using drones to catch violators, with anyone caught riding an unauthorized vehicle being cited. The department released a flyer this week showing two motorcycle riders who were cited on the trail, making clear that enforcement is already underway.

Anyone who sees a violation can report it to the Palm Springs Police Department's non-emergency line at (760) 327-1441.
