Riverside County Hosting “Midnight March Muttness” Free Pet Adoption Event
If you're looking to add a new furry member to your family, Riverside County Department of Animal Services is hosting a special adoption event aimed at lowering shelter capacity.
The event, called Midnight March Muttness, will take place Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. until midnight at participating county shelters, including the Coachella Valley Animal Campus in Thousand Palms.
Officials say adoptions will be completely free and include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations, a microchip, and an ID tag.
Currently, there are more than 1,000 pets across the county shelter system waiting for homes, and organizers say the event is designed to help connect those animals with loving families.
Animal Services leaders say with such a wide variety of dogs and cats available, there’s likely a perfect match for nearly every family looking to adopt.
