An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Wednesday, March 11, 2026!

The Coachella Valley will be under cloud-free skies this afternoon with above-normal high temperatures in the upper-80s. Enjoy, because Ma Nature will be turning-up our thermostat very soon!

As an upper-level ridge of high pressure nudges its way over Southern California, Valley midday temps move into the upper-90s for your Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

As this ridge expands and centers itself right over SoCal, Valley temps will exceed 100° on Monday followed by a stretch of hotter temps the rest of the work week.

There is a very good chance an Excessive Heat Warning will be posted for the Coachella Valley next week.

Also, you can expect dozens of high temp records over the Southwest will be tied or broken during the next several days. Stay tuned!
