Palm Desert’s Papa Dan’s Pizza and Pasta Sets Grand Reopening for March 16

After nearly two years of anticipation, Palm Desert’s beloved Papa Dan’s Pizza and Pasta is ready to welcome customers once again. The pizzeria announced that its grand reopening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Monday, March 16, at 9:30 a.m., inviting the community to celebrate this exciting new chapter.

Papa Dan’s originally opened its doors in 1984 and quickly became a local favorite. The restaurant was just shy of its 40th anniversary when a fire in April 2024 destroyed it, along with several neighboring structures. “There isn’t a day that goes by that at least two dozen people drive up, stop, knock on the door, or send emails, phone calls, and texts,” said a representative. “The support from the community has been really amazing.”

The new Papa Dan’s remains in the same marketplace off Country Club Drive, now positioned on the opposite end next to the mobile gas station. Fans of the pizzeria can look forward to classic menu favorites, a welcoming atmosphere, and the chance to continue the decades-long tradition of enjoying one of Palm Desert’s most iconic dining spots.

The reopening marks not just a return for Papa Dan’s, but also a celebration of resilience, community, and the enduring love for a local culinary staple.
