Coachella Valley Girls Soccer Team Honored at State Capitol

The girls soccer team from Coachella Valley High School received special recognition at the California State Capitol following an impressive championship run.

Known as the Lady Arabs, the team was honored on the floor of the California State Senate by Monique Limón, Senate President Pro Tempore, alongside Sabrina Cervantes.

The recognition comes after the team captured both the CIF Southern Section Division V Championship and the CIF State Regional Championship this season.

Next, the Lady Arabs will face Marin Catholic High School in the CIF State Championship, scheduled for tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.

Supporters across the Coachella Valley are cheering the team on as they travel from the desert to Sacramento in pursuit of a state title.
