Semifinals Set at BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells

The action is heating up at the BNP Paribas Open as the tournament reaches the semifinal stage at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka is now just two wins away from capturing her first Indian Wells title after defeating Victoria Mboko in the quarterfinals. Sabalenka has not dropped a set during her run to the final four and will next face Linda Nosková of Czechia for a chance to reach the championship match.

On the men’s side, Jannik Sinner continued his strong form, defeating Learner Tien in just over an hour to secure a spot in the semifinals. The Wimbledon Championships winner finished the match with three aces and 17 winners, marking his 26th straight win against American opponents.

Standing between Sinner and the final is Alexander Zverev, who reached his 80th career tour-level semifinal with a victory over Arthur Fils. Zverev leads their head-to-head matchup 6–4 heading into Saturday’s highly anticipated showdown.
