Cathedral City Intersection Facing Emergency Traffic Signal Repairs Friday

Crews will be making emergency traffic signal repairs Friday morning at the intersection of East Palm Canyon Drive and Officer Jermaine Gibson Avenue in Cathedral City, with work running from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

City officials are warning drivers to expect intermittent lane closures and delays throughout the day. Signals may be placed in flashing red mode during installation, so anyone passing through should treat the intersection as a four-way stop.

Crosstown Electric, Inc., contracted through CVAG, is handling the repairs. The city is asking for patience while crews get the signals back up and running.
