NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Saturday, March 14, 2026!

An upper-level ridge of high pressure -- centered over the NE Pacific -- will once again play a role in elevating our high temperatures into the upper-90s under sunny skies both afternoons this weekend. (Palm Springs' normal mid-March high temp is 80°.)

Next -- as this upper-high expands and situates itself directly over Southern California -- the Valley will be dealing with peak temperatures hovering around 105° each work-day next week.

The Valley is currently bookended by Extreme Heat Watches for next week. New high temp records over the Southwest will be set each day.

Because those Valley midday highs will soon be running approximately 25-degrees above normal most of next week, an Excessive Heat Warning for the area is likely. Stay tuned!
