Shop for a Cause: Palm Desert Store Raising Money for Dog Rescue This Weekend

If you're looking for a reason to head to El Paseo this afternoon, J. McLaughlin in Palm Desert is hosting a fundraiser benefiting German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County, a nonprofit that cares for abandoned, injured, and neglected dogs across Southern California and the Coachella Valley.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the store, located at 73-375 El Paseo, Suite L. A portion of every purchase made during those hours goes directly to the rescue to fund medical care and adoption efforts.

Guests can expect wine, hors d'oeuvres, and the chance to meet Kira, the rescue's K-9 ambassador, and learn about dogs currently available for adoption.
