U.S. Strikes Hit Over 90 Military Targets on Iran's Key Oil Island

The U.S. military is releasing new details about its strikes on Iran's Kharg Island, the hub that handles roughly 90% of the country's crude oil exports.

In a Saturday social media post, U.S. Central Command said American forces hit more than 90 military targets on the island, including mine and missile storage facilities, while deliberately preserving its oil infrastructure. An Iranian official said oil company operations on the island are "proceeding normally" and that there were no casualties.

President Trump had previously said the U.S. "obliterated" every military target on the island. He has also threatened to strike its oil infrastructure if Iran continues blocking ships from using the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway for global energy shipments.
