An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Sunday, March 15, 2026!

The Coachella Valley will be under sunny skies today with low relative humidity and above-normal high temperatures in the upper-90s.

As an upper-level ridge of high pressure expands and centers itself over Southern California, Valley temps heat-up to around 100° on Monday, 102° for Tuesday, to a stretch of numbers around 106° the rest of the week.

This week's Excessive Heat Watch for the Coachella Valley will most likely be elevated to an Extreme Heat Warning as those midday highs will be running about 25-degrees above normal.

Dozens of new record high temps over the Southwest will be set this week.
