Firebirds sweep back-to-back weekend series with first-place Reign

Coachella Valley grabbed all four points over Ontario on Friday and Saturday with back-to-back overtime wins.

On Saturday, Ty Nelson buried the game-winner just 1:13 into the extra frame. It's the second consecutive night a Firebirds' defenseman notched the winner in overtime.

Friday night it was Gustav Olofsson. Of note, Saturday night was Olofsson's 400th career AHL game.

The Firebirds have now won four-straight and will host San Jose on Wednesday night at Acrisure Arena.
