Free E-Bike Safety Course Coming to Palm Desert Next Weekend

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department Palm Desert Station is hosting a free e-bike safety course next Saturday, March 21, at Civic Center Park, and anyone with an e-bike is welcome to show up and ride.

The course covers emergency braking, local e-bike laws, and road safety, and participants will get to test their skills on an obstacle course run by deputies. Everyone who completes the class walks away with a certificate, and there will be giveaways while supplies last.

Classes are open to all ages, with sessions at 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 10:30 a.m. The event takes place at 43900 San Pablo Ave. Walk-ins are welcome, though an RSVP is recommended. Riders should bring their personal e-bike.

The course is free. To reserve a spot or get more information, visit palmdesert.gov or call 760-393-3260.
