An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up; Excessive Heat!

When the day's previous record high temperatures seem mild compared to what is forecast, you know it's gonna be crazy hot for our last few days of Winter. (Spring begins March 20.)

The four hottest days this week for the Coachella Valley will be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday when midday highs surpass 105° each afternoon. (Palm Springs' normal high this time of year is 81°.)

To put it in perspective, these Valley forecast highs are more typical of late-June/early July than of mid-March.

An Extreme Heat Warning for the area is likely. Stay tuned!
