Palm Springs Dog Park to Temporarily Close for Maintenance
Dog owners in Palm Springs should plan ahead as David H. Ready Dog Park prepares for a temporary closure.
City officials say the park will be closed from March 30 through May 15 to allow for maintenance work, including turf restoration and hydroseeding. The upgrades are aimed at improving safety for pets and their owners while ensuring the long-term durability of the grass areas.
During the closure, the city will offer two temporary pop-up dog park locations for residents. One will be set up at Ruth Hardy Park off Tamarisk Road, and the other at Sunrise Park off Pavilion Way.
Officials say additional details about the temporary park setups will be discussed at an upcoming commission meeting scheduled for March 23.
Residents are encouraged to use the alternative locations while improvements are underway, with the goal of reopening a safer and more resilient dog park later this spring.
