Construction Advances on College of the Desert’s Palm Springs Campus

Construction is making major progress on the new College of the Desert campus in Palm Springs, with officials confirming the structural framework is now complete.

The campus, slated to open in fall 2027, will offer a variety of programs including digital arts, healthcare, and emerging technologies, all designed to meet the needs of a growing workforce in the region.

College leaders say the new facility will play a key role in expanding access to education while strengthening workforce development across the Coachella Valley.

In addition to academic offerings, the campus is being built with sustainability in mind. Plans include energy-efficient systems and renewable energy features aimed at lowering long-term costs and reducing environmental impact.

Once complete, the Palm Springs campus is expected to serve as a modern hub for learning, innovation, and career training in the desert.
