"Gardens to the Rescue" Pet Adoption Event Moves Indoors Ahead of Triple-Digit Heat

Organizers have moved this Saturday's "Gardens to the Rescue" pet adoption event indoors, citing a forecast of around 106 degrees in the Coachella Valley. The event will now be held at the Sundance store at Space 110 on El Paseo, located between Trina Turk and Everything But Water, and will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Bianca Rae Foundation and Animal Samaritans, along with local shelters and rescue groups, made the call to shift venues to ensure the safety of both attendees and adoptable animals. The air-conditioned indoor space gives families a comfortable place to meet dogs looking for a second chance at a loving home.
