“Gardens to the Rescue” Pet Adoption Event Moves Indoors Due to Heat
Organizers of the “Gardens to the Rescue” pet adoption event have announced a location change due to rising temperatures in the Coachella Valley. To ensure the safety and comfort of the animals, the event will now be held indoors at El Paseo Village.
The new setup will take place inside a vacant retail space located between the Trina Turk and Everything But Water stores. Despite the change in venue, the event schedule remains the same, running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Event organizers say the decision was made with the dogs’ well-being in mind, as extreme heat can pose serious risks to animals, especially during outdoor events. Moving indoors allows attendees to comfortably meet adoptable pets while ensuring a safer environment for the animals.
“Gardens to the Rescue” aims to connect local shelters and rescue groups with potential adopters, helping find permanent homes for dogs in need. Community members are encouraged to attend, meet the animals, and learn more about the adoption process.
