Innovation Showcase Gives Coachella Valley Entrepreneurs Chance to Compete Big
Entrepreneurs across the Coachella Valley will soon have a major opportunity to showcase their ideas and compete for funding during Riverside County’s Innovation Month. The Greater Coachella Valley Innovation Showcase is set for April 21st and will be hosted by the California State University San Bernardino Entrepreneurship Center in Palm Desert.
The event will bring together founders, investors, and business leaders from across the region, creating a platform for innovation and collaboration. Participants will pitch their business ideas in hopes of winning a $5,000 regional prize, along with valuable networking opportunities that could help take their ventures to the next level.
Winners of the local showcase will advance to a countywide finale, where the stakes are even higher. Competitors there will have the chance to win up to $20,000 and potentially earn a spot at the global Startup World Cup, where a $1 million investment prize is on the line.
Organizers say the event is designed to foster entrepreneurship and support economic growth throughout the region. By connecting innovators with resources and investors, the showcase aims to help turn promising ideas into successful businesses.
For aspiring entrepreneurs in the Coachella Valley, the event represents a unique opportunity to gain exposure, secure funding, and take the next step toward building a successful startup.

Palm Springs firefighters responded Thursday to a report of a person struck by lightning in the Chino Canyon area. The person was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Firefighters also responded to a palm tree fire in Chino Canyon that officials say was caused by an apparent lightning strike. Estevan Figueroa of King’s Club Barbershop is giving back across the Coachella Valley — one haircut at a time.
