SoCal on March 18, 2026: Very Warm Yesterday, Hot Today, Hotter Tomorrow!
A couple dozen high temperature records were set in Southern California Tuesday afternoon.
Indio, Thermal and Idyllwild were a few of the areas around the Coachella Valley to make that list.
Not only did Palm Springs record a new high temp yesterday of 103° (normal high is 81°), but the city's overnight low of 77° became a new highest daily minimum reading for March 17.
So far -- for the first 17-days in March -- Palm Springs has seen 13-above normal days, 5 of them new record highs. And, you can expect new peak temp numbers over the next five-afternoons.
That Extreme Heat Warning for the Coachella Valley continues through Saturday.
