RIVERSIDE (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular

The average price has risen 50 of the past 51 days, increasing $1.446,

Price Information Service. It rose 20 consecutive days, was unchanged Feb. 18
and resumed increasing the next day.

Prices were rising slightly in line with seasonal norms before the
joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28 sent oil prices higher and
drastically accelerated increases at the gas pump.

increasing 90.2 cents, including 5.2 cents on Wednesday.

The national average price is 28.6 cents more than one week ago, 95.5
cents higher than one month ago and 78.2 cents greater than one year ago. It is
$1.132 less than the record $5.016 set on June 14, 2022.

``It now looks like gasoline will hit $4/gal next week and could head
toward $4.10/gal and beyond,'' Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at
GasBuddy, which provides real-time gas price information from more than 150,000
stations, wrote on social media at 3:32 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time Thursday.
