Man Found Dead in Indio Dirt Lot, Investigation Underway

A death investigation is underway in Indio after a man was found unresponsive in a dirt lot.

According to the Indio Police Department, the 39-year-old man was discovered near the intersection of Monroe Street and Highway 111, just north of John Nobles Avenue.

Officers responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead.

At this time, authorities say there are no signs of foul play, and the case is not being treated as a homicide.

The Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau responded to the scene, and the cause of death remains under investigation.
