Once Again, High Temperature Records Fell Across Southern California on Friday, March 20, 2026!

Once Again, High Temperature Records Fell Across Southern California on Friday, March 20, 2026!

It was another day of badly broken records.

Typically, when records are broken, it's by one, two, three degrees. Instead, many of those new record temps today surpassed the previous peak numbers by up to ten-degrees.

Once again, Palm Springs, Indio and Thermal in the Coachella Valley were just three of dozens of new high temperature records smashed earlier this afternoon over the Southwest. Here's a look at a few of those cities.

Those high temps in the Valley will come down on Saturday... but only by a few degrees. Palm Springs will hit 104° tomorrow, 101° on Sunday. (The city's normal high is 92°.)

Remember, an Extreme Heat Warning continues for the Valley though Saturday evening.
