Riverside County Gas Prices Keep Rising

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular
gasoline in Riverside County rose 3.8 cents today to $5.662, its highest amount
since Oct. 13, 2023.
  

The average price has risen 52 of the past 53 days, increasing $1.521,
including 3.7 cents Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price
Information Service. It is 21.3 cents more than one week ago, $1.157 more than
one month ago and $1.17 more than one year ago. It is 71.1 cents less than the
record $6.373 set on Oct. 5, 2022.
  

Prices were rising slightly in line with seasonal norms before the
joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28 sent oil prices higher and
drastically accelerated increases at the gas pump.
  

The national average price rose 1.3 cents to $3.925, its highest
amount since Aug. 18, 2022. It has risen for 21 consecutive days, increasing
94.3 cents, including 2.8 cents Friday.
  

The national average price is 25 cents more than one week ago, 79
cents more than one month ago and 79.6 cents more than one year ago. It is
$1.091 less than the record $5.016 set on June 14, 2022.
