Coachella Valley Native Haley Izurieta Returns Home in Beetlejuice the Musical at McCallum Theatre

A familiar face is back home in the Coachella Valley, taking the stage in a major touring production.

Haley Izurieta, a Palm Springs High School graduate, is performing in Beetlejuice the Musical at the McCallum Theatre this week through Sunday, March 29. The appearance marks a full-circle moment for the local performer, who grew up doing theater across the valley.

Izurieta says returning to the McCallum is especially meaningful, having performed there about a decade ago. Now, she’s back on a national tour, sharing the stage in a production she’s been part of for more than a year and a half.

Her journey began locally, performing with theater groups throughout the Coachella Valley before continuing her training at Fullerton College. She later made the move to New York, where she has been pursuing her career in theater for the past four years.

In addition to the Beetlejuice tour, Izurieta has also performed internationally on cruise ships, including roles in Six the Musical and Beetlejuice at sea.

She says being back in California—and especially back home—has been a rewarding experience, giving her a chance to reconnect with family, friends, and the community that helped launch her career.

Beetlejuice the Musical runs at the McCallum Theatre through March 29, with tickets available online.
