Leadership Coachella Valley Raises Funds to Expand ABC Recovery Center in Indio
As the need for addiction treatment continues to rise across the country, a local group is stepping up to make a difference in the Coachella Valley.
Leadership Coachella Valley’s current class is raising funds to support the expansion of ABC Recovery Center in Indio. The project aims to help meet growing demand for recovery services while improving conditions for those seeking treatment.
ABC Recovery Center is already undergoing major upgrades thanks to a state grant, including new dorms, a dining hall, and a laundromat. But leaders say additional support is still needed to fully furnish the facility and ensure clients have a comfortable, dignified place to heal.
James Thomason with ABC Recovery Center says the goal is to provide more than just treatment — it’s about restoring dignity and stability for those on the path to recovery.
Members of Leadership Coachella Valley, including NBC Palm Springs reporters Thalia Hayden and Kai Beech, are working to raise awareness and funding for the effort.
Organizers say addiction impacts more people than many realize, touching families, workplaces, and communities across the valley.
Donations can be made through the project’s Give Butter page or by contacting ABC Recovery Center directly.
With construction nearing completion, leaders say the partnership between Leadership Coachella Valley and ABC Recovery Center will help create lasting change for years to come.
