Local Businesses Get a Shot at Government Contracts at Free April Event
Local business owners have a free opportunity coming up to compete for government contracts across the Coachella Valley. The 3rd Annual Coachella Valley Local Government Vendor Fair takes place Wednesday, April 15 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Palm Springs Convention.
The event brings together more than a dozen cities and agencies under one roof, including Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Indio, Coachella, CVAG, the County of Riverside, IREN, MSWD, CVWD, and others. Businesses that provide general contracting, landscaping, engineering, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, security, printing, graphic design, web development, and similar services are encouraged to attend.
Palm Springs Mayor Naomi Soto said the fair is designed to give local businesses a clear path into the contracting process. "Local businesses are the backbone of the Coachella Valley, and they deserve a clear path to compete for government contracts," she said. "This Vendor Fair connects our business community directly with public agencies, creating opportunities that strengthen local businesses and keep taxpayer dollars working in our region."
Admission is free. Full event details and registration are available at palmspringsca.gov/dobizincv.
