MLB Is Back, and Stadium Food Has Never Looked Like This

Major League Baseball's 2026 season is officially underway, and while the hot dog isn't going anywhere, teams across the league are rolling out menus that go far beyond the classic ballpark staples.
At Nationals Park in Washington, fans can grab the Capitol Slugger, a half-smoke sausage loaded with chili, fried jalapeños, and fried onions. It's a nod to D.C.'s own food culture and a serious upgrade on the standard frank.
Out in Los Angeles, Dodger Stadium is offering cochinita pibil bone marrow tacos, bringing bold, slow-cooked Mexican flavors to the bleachers. And in Arizona, Diamondbacks fans with a sweet tooth can cool off with a salted caramel milkshake topped with Kit-Kats and Cracker Jacks.
None of it comes cheap, though. Expect to spend at least what you'd pay for a sit-down meal at a mid-range Mexican restaurant.
The season kicks off with two marquee matchups on NBC and Peacock. The Pittsburgh Pirates face the New York Mets Thursday afternoon, followed by a primetime showdown between the World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
NBC Palm Springs will have full coverage of Opening Day tomorrow.
