Semi-Truck Rollover Spills Diesel, Slowing Traffic on I-10 Near Chiriaco Summit

A local alert has been issued after a semi-truck rollover caused significant traffic delays along I-10 near Chiriaco Summit.

Authorities say the crash happened just before 10:30 a.m. west of Box Canyon Road when the driver veered onto the shoulder and struck a guardrail, causing the trailer to overturn.

The crash led to a diesel fuel spill across the roadway, blocking at least one lane and prompting a response from hazardous materials crews.

Officials confirm the driver was not injured.

A SigAlert remains in effect as crews work to clear the scene and contain the spill. Drivers are being advised to expect delays into the evening hours while cleanup efforts continue.
