Desert Wildlife Center Hosting “Baby Shower” for Injured Animals

A unique event is giving the community a chance to help care for local wildlife in need.

The Desert Wildlife Center is hosting a “baby shower” to support orphaned and injured animals in their care.

The event will take place Thursday at their Van Buren Street location in Indio, running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Community members are invited to stop by and donate much-needed supplies listed on the organization’s wish list, which also includes items requested by the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.

For those unable to attend in person, donations can also be shipped directly through the center’s Amazon wish list.

Organizers say every contribution helps provide critical care for vulnerable wildlife, especially during the busy spring season when young animals are most in need.
