Palm Desert Groomer Offers Free Makeovers to Help Rescue Dogs Get Adopted
With local animal shelters at or beyond capacity, one Palm Desert business owner is stepping up to make a difference—one dog at a time.
Jenna, owner of The Wagon Oasis, is offering free grooming services to rescue dogs, helping transform their appearance and improve their chances of being adopted.
She started her business using funds she earned as a surrogate mother and has since turned it into a family operation alongside her husband. Together, they’ve made it their mission to help dogs not only look their best, but feel their best too.
Animal advocates say grooming can be a game changer. Many potential adopters may overlook dogs that appear unkempt, but a fresh grooming can reveal their personality and charm.
Laura from Desert Paws Sanctuary says the partnership has already helped numerous dogs find permanent homes, calling the impact “incredible” for both the animals and the people caring for them.
Jenna says each grooming session is about more than just appearance—it’s about giving these animals a second chance.
As shelters continue to face overcrowding, efforts like this are providing hope for rescue dogs across the Coachella Valley.
