An NBC Palm Springs Heads-Up on Wednesday, April 1, 2026!

That Wind Advisory for the Coachella Valley and surrounding areas has been extended through Thursday evening. As a frontal boundary moves through the Southwest, on-shore winds will be an issue, especially during the afternoon and evening hours today and tomorrow.

As this frontal boundary moves to the East, a wind-shift will occur on Friday as Santa Ana winds are expected to ramp-up. Down-slope winds descending over the Little San Bernardino Mountains into the Coachella Valley will will not only be gusty, they will also dry-out our air. In fact, you can expect single-digit relative humidity on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

As far as temperatures are concerned, the Coachella Valley will see plenty of sunshine today, tomorrow and Friday with midday highs in the 80s, this will be followed by string on 90s which will begin on Sunday.
